Meeting with a new advisor may be intimidating to those that aren't sure what to expect. Below you will find the process and common progression of interactions we hold from the first meeting through the life of the relationship.

  • GATHERING INFORMATION ABOUT ASSETS, LIABILITIES, OR ANYTHING ELSE PERTAINING TO FINANCIAL LIFE

  • analyzing DOCUMENTS (STATEMENTS, TAXES, ETC.)

  • goals conversation: how can you achieve what matters most?


  • initial observations of financial situation (strengths/weaknesses)

  • assessing risk tolerance

  • Formally entering into a planning relationship

  • discussion of upcoming processes and procedures (account transfers, planning timeline, what to expect out of future engagements)


  • detailed recommendations

  • planning ideas, discussion, and implementation

  • order of planning operations (what to tackle first)

  • realistic goals timeline

  • discussion of planning areas outside of the scope of our expertise (and where to go to for advice)


  • Review of cumulative financial plan and ensure proper implementation

  • Assessment of statements to provide understanding and Transparency

  • Discuss frequency of future reviews (1-4/year depending on plan complexity and life stage)
